Banana, Apple, Kale Smoothie

IMG_0738

Mmmmmmm…. This was so delicious! Similar to the last smoothie I posted and just as yummy. I love the mixture of banana and apple together and it’s fall soooo apples galore!! I still have to go apple picking! Ohhh I can’t wait… This is really simple and you’ll need:

  • 1 banana (I actually used 2 but it depends on how much you want)
  • 1 frozen banana
  • half an apple
  • 1-2 handfuls of baby or adult kale
  • shake of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp flax seed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice

Blend away! I am slightly addicted to putting toppings on my smoothies and smoothie bowls because it just makes everything better. So I sprinkled some chia seeds and dried fig to top it off!

Creamy Apple Kale Smoothie

Okay I know what you’re thinking… “Ugh another green smoothie that looks exactly the same and probably tastes like grass.” But NOOO… Seriously this is so so so good! It’s creamy, luscious, healthy, filling, and energizing. It has a secret ingredient that makes all the difference. Okay, it’s not really a secret, I’ll tell you. Peanut butter. Yes, peanut butter in a green smoothie. It makes it creamy and gives a subtle peanuty flavor that is so good. I have a lot of green smoothies and this is one of my favorites. Let me know if you try this luscious concoction!

  • 1 banana
  • 2 frozen bananas (yes, I put three bananas in my morning smoothies. Ooops.)
  • 1 small apple
  • a few leaves of kale
  • 1 tbsp of peanut butter (if you actually measure your peanut butter :p)
  • dash of cinnamon
  • 1 tsp of flax seed (optional)
  • 1/2 cup milk of choice or water

Throw everything in your blender (a.k.a. the best invention ever) and blend up! Thank me later.
